Great DOF Mushrooms are mysterious and a great subject I know of a photographer that does nothing but mushrooms

Artist's Description

While this is a relatively common mushroom most of us don't recognize it as a mushroom. It grows up to 12" across and in clusters. This group was found on a log 16 meters (40') long and held perhaps as much as 28 kilos (61 pounds). They are edible but as usual precautions must always be taken, specifically the ones attached to Conifer or Cedar and also Eucalyptus trees (according to this site-https://www.mushroom-appreciation.com/chicken-of-the-woods.html). I enjoy just shooting them for their interesting appearance and intricacies of detail.

This series of Chicken of the Woods mushrooms was done in a tiny campsite in the dense forest of the Gifford Pinchott National Forest of Washington State

This image can be used for a shower curtain or a cell phone cover, and equally as well for prints, greeting cards and Duvet covers

Since I was a very young boy on the farm, 6 or 7, I have been shooting everything in my line of sight. In those early days I found that anything could inspire me. Grasshoppers and Gartner snakes to coyotes and eagles, as well a rows of crops we grew. Eventually I was given a Kodak Brownie, just to prevent me from using my Mother's KodakBrownie out in the fields. I was thrilled. Since then I have gone through many styles of shooting and editing. Eventually I have settled on two distinct presentations, described below. It's a journey and I hope you can enjoy this while you're here Fine art and Emotive art: I divide them; Fine art will be that idyllic scene that fits a particular space on your wall and in your heart, while Emotive art is the...
